Born and raised in Larne, Northern Ireland, Keith first gained notice in the UK when he tried out for the show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 and won a spot in an all-male singing group called One True Voice. However, his group lost out to the all-female singing group Girls Aloud. One True Voice did release two singles, "Sacred Trust" and "Shakespeare's (Way With) Words", before splitting in 2003. The group never released an album.
After his time in One True Voice, Keith embarked on a solo career and then in 2008 decided to move to the United States, settling in Chicago. He joined the band 7th Heaven as their lead singer and released the album USA-UK. In 2010, Keith gave reality singing competition shows another try when he tried out for season 9 of American Idol. He made it to Hollywood, but due to immigration issues regarding his residency status, Keith was disqualified. He released a solo EP, Slow Down the World, in 2011. He later left 7th Heaven in 2012, opting to form a new band called SEMPLE in 2013.
Despite having tried out for two different singing shows in the past, Keith gave it another go and tried out for the Voice by singing the Bon Jovi classic "I'll Be There for You". His performance caught the attention of two coaches, Adam Levine and Gwen Stefani. Despite Blake Shelton suggesting that he go with Gwen, Keith chose Adam to be his coach.
Battle rounds Edit
For this part of the competition, Keith went up against fellow rocker Manny Cabo on the Who classic "Baba O'Reilly". Both guys gave it their all on the song, making Adam Levine's decision difficult. However, Keith made it to the Knockout Rounds.
After impressing everyone with his take on the Foreigner classic "I Want to KNow What Love Is", Keith made the top 24. His take on the Mr. Big hit "To Be with You" was impressive, but it ended up being Keith's last performance as he was eliminated on November 9, 2015.
Post the VoiceEdit
After his time on the show, Keith continues to play gigs with his band and write music. His newest EP, AnytimeAnywhere, was released on iTunes on February 26, 2016.
