Jacquie Lee

Jacqueline Ann "Jacquie" Lee (born June 25, 1997) is an American pop singer from Colts Neck, New Jersey who finished as the runner-up on season 5 of The Voice USA. Her mentor was Christina Aguilera.


Born and raised in Colts Neck, New Jersey, Jacquie has been singing since she was little. Besides parents Denise and Richard, Jacquie has two siblings, older sister Nicole and younger brother Richie.

Jacquie was a student at Ranney School in nearby Tinton Falls, New Jersey when she decided to try out for the Voice.

Jacquie tried out for the show by singing the Amy Winehouse song "Back to Black", which caused Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton to turn around, both impressed by her soulful, mature-sounding voice. Jacquie chose Christina as her mentor.

With Christina Aguilera as her mentor, Jacquie got the chance to showcase her voice on songs such as "Who's Lovin' You" by Smokey Robinson to what some consider her breakthrough performance of "I Put A Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Her renditions of both "Angel" by Sarah McLaughlin and "And I Am Teling You I'm Not Goin'" by Jennifer Holliday hit the top 10 on iTunes.

Jacquie finished second behind Jamacian singer Tessanne Chin of Team Adam on December 17, 2013.

Post The VoiceEdit

Since her time on the show, Jacquie has signed a deal with Atlantic Records and released her first single, "Broken Ones", on May 13, 2014. She also got to perform with Tessanne Chin and Will Champlin at the 125th Rose Parade in Pasadena, California on January 1, 2014.


Jacquie was a part of the Voice summer tour along with Tessanne, Will, season 6 winner Josh Kaufman, season 1 runner-up Dia Frampton, and season 6 alumai Christina Grimmie, Jake Worthington, Kristen Merlin, and Jake Barker. The tour kicked off in San Antonio, Texas on June 21, 2014.

Broken Ones EP (2014-present)Edit

Jacquie released her debut EP, Broken Ones, on October 6, 2014. A lyric video for her next single, "Tears Fall", came out on October 10, 2014.
